Nintendo Drop Trailer For Strange New Switch Controller
No games are shown, but the odd hoop hints at a new fitness game on the horizon.
Not content with the huge amount of Switch games highlighted during this week’s Nintendo Direct, (not to mention the addition of 20 SNES titles), the big N have just dropped a trailer for a completely bizarre new controller for the Switch.
We say controller, it looks more like a pair of accessories in which you place your Joy-Con to control a mysterious game (or games) that haven’t yet been showcased. One is a giant flexible hoop, while the other is a strap for your thigh.
Needless to say, the trailer is classic off-the-wall Nintendo. It’s a bizarre contraption, but while no gameplay is actually shown, we can guess that the accompanying software will be fitness based.
There’s a lot of vigorous activity going on in the trailer, as well as a few stretches and Yoga poses. We could well be about to get a Switch Fit title. It makes sense really, the Switch is Nintendo’s most popular system since the Wii, and Wii Fit sold over 18 million copies worldwide.
Either way, we’ve only got a couple of weeks to wait to find out. The trailer ends with the promise of more information on 12 September.
You can check the trailer out for yourself below. What do you guys think, will you be picking this one up?
